Latest inductees to the School of Rock
Last Sunday I had a pleasant surprise when friends of ours called to say they had spare tickets to the Download Festival. Rock music with 80,000 other fans in attendance wasn’t a tempting prospect for my wife however, as one of the most family friendly atmospheres for this type of event it seemed the perfect venue to introduce my (nearly) 7 year old son Liam to the joy of live Rock. Our friends also took their 3 year old daughter and what a fantastic day we all had! With such classics as ZZ Top, Whitesnake and Def Leppard on the main stage the only surprise was just how much the young ones loved them, I know Liam’s exposure to rock has been mainly limited to Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Kings of Leon and AC-DC in the back of the car on the school run.
